Conservatorio di Musica Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa – Potenza
Named after the famous madrigalist, the “Gesualdo da Venosa” Conservatory was established with effect from 1/10/1970 with Presidential Decree n. 1178 of 12/18/1973. The first fifteen years is certainly marked by settlement on the territory. Before reaching its definitive headquarters in 1987, in fact, the institution was first hosted at the “G. De Lorenzo “, later in some rooms of Palazzo Loffredo which in the course of its history had already been home to school facilities (after the unification of Italy it hosted the Royal Lyceum of Potenza)
